Get Involved

 There are plenty of ways to get involved with Practical Activism, from the planning process to the day of the conference. Below you will find information for how to join the planning team, submit a workshop proposal and have your organization represented by tabling.


Submit a Workshop Proposal:

Is there an issue that you are passionate about? Submit a workshop proposal for the 2017 conference! Proposals can be submitted by anyone in the public each year, we welcome contributions from our planners, alumni and community members.  Proposals can either be submitted using our online form, or email a proposal and attachments to practicalactivism@gmail.com. Check the Propose a Workshop tab for more. Proposals are due Friday, April 28.

Tabling:

Do you work with a UCSC student organization or local non-profit in Santa Cruz that you would like to see represented at Practical Activism? Contact us! More information to come soon about tabling opportunities at this year’s conference.

Join the Planning Team:

The Practical Activism Conference Planning Team is composed of students affiliated with College Nine, College Ten, and Oakes College of the University of California Santa Cruz. Being a part of the Practical Activism Team is a unique rewarding experience where participants have the opportunity to learn organizing activism skills, learn and build upon their professional development skills, and be a part of creative team-building, while making friends and lasting memories along the way. The 15th Annual planning team is set! Keep a lookout for opportunities to volunteer or email the Coco
